I got to the end of the D2 part. My takeaway is, if you have a D2 S8 do not sell it. You're holding an appreciating classic.
As if you didn't already know that 
Oh! And please hang onto the original Avus 18" wheels. Some day you will realise how well they suit your car (unless you have an actual FE)
