Default Could anyone furnish me with their experiences of the 2.8 and 3.2 FSI models?

I apologise in advance if this is in the wrong section.

Anyhoo, does anyone have any advice on these models? I ask as you clearly get greater bang for your buck. Plus I am worried about DPF issues and where I live we do not get much snow so I'm not sure I really need quattro!

Would a late, 3.2 or 2.8 FSI be a decent buy? The equivalent diesel is a LOT more money! Ideally I would like a 4.2 FSI but again these seem to command a premium and more seem to be LWB and I'm not sure that's for me.

I am aware of the carbon deposit issue and that is a concern. But a clogged DPF and blown turbo/injectors are probably a bigger concern given I'm looking at cars with around 100k on them.

Any and all advice would be appreciated!
