Thumbs up

Strictly speaking there has been no positive or negative wire for a very long time on anything but the very basic amplifiers. If the amplifier has say 20V power supply each wire will change between -20..+20V and when one is say +15V other will be -15V when membrane travels in one direction and -15V one and other +15V when it travels in other direction instead of jus using 0V and 15V to push it one direction and just allowing springiness to pull it back. Because of higher voltage differential you can get more power and because of membrane being actively pulled in both directions you get much better response.

Most of the wires and speakers are marked for polarity but that is just to ensure they are connected the same. It does not really matter which is which as long as all speakers are connected the same and travel in the same direction at the same time.
