Thanks Ron and Richard for the "auditioning" offers  I will try and take you up on it at some point. Unfortunately I wont be able make ADI at Castle Combe this year so it wont be then.
Reference the "tin can" nature of the Teslas, I guess that the lack of insulation was based on the quietness of the drive system and, therefore, not having to protect the occupants from ICE levels of noise and also to reduce weight and cost.
