Hi Jim, I was reading the temp on the climate control display. As Mikki says its not accurate, I compared it to VCDS Engine advanced measuring blocks which gives a different reading.
I was hoping the climate control readout is only a little bit off but if it giesstimates it then its no good.
The dial on the cluster only registered the change when the climate control display went to 99. After that they seem to track in line but I still wouldnt trust them for an accurate reading.
Mike rang me he is making a few aluminium shrouds for the electric fan Mikki posted. Drop him a line if you want to switch to electric.
To get to the hidden climate control unit menu, with AC on, press the recirculate button and upper climate control button (one with up arrow) simultaneously. Then scroll through to channel 102 for the dodgy engine temp readout.
