I'm glad to hear it helps. Was not sure if it will help but on my A6 C5 TDI if I keep the accelerator down and press the brake it cuts engine power by probably 80% after like 0.5s and if I release brake it takes at least a second before power comes back on, if ESP is off it still does it a little bit but much less noticeable. So that was my reasoning to try it out.
If you disconnected power from ABS/ESP (pulling the fuse or splicing in extra switch) results might be even a bit more better.
