The old cats had been on 7 yrs but were made from low grade 409 steel and were perforated causing failure on emissions at the MoT. The new cats are in 316/304 stainless and have alifetime warranty. They will (probably) trigger the EML but I have not bothered getting it coded out. I have VCDS so its easy to check and reset.
