I went the route of fitting an extra fuse into the drivers side panel and wired in a automatic cut of thats settable giving the option of having the camera on for parking mode but it will switch off when the battery is getting low to save a flat battery.

The reason I went that route is it became apparent that the battery manager would not have any influence on the situation should the dash cam be powered from a cigar lighter or the always on supply rail.
