Hi there,

Yeah you need vagcom or a similar to wind in the piston. Have a look at the Ross tech site as there's a video of the process. They really stress the battery charger thing too, so I'd be safe rather than sorry there. I believe I put the brake on, then off again, then wound it back in with vagcom. Then simply compress to get the visible piston back in.... You hear winding noises but nothing visible when winding in with vagcom!

Was pretty easy and quick to do!
