I will admit to speaking CtL's language especially that relating to food. His sense of humour is harder to translate 
Figgy Duff = pudding, preferably steamed with bits of fruit in it. Duff in the singular refers to ANY pudding/desert or that which follows the main course.
There are a range of Naval delicacies which, fortunately  , are not on the menu -
Babies Heads; train smash, sh!t-on-a-raft, chicken-f*cked-up, the list goes on......
