Put one camera in each side; red filter over one, blue filter over the other. Merge the video signals together and wear
a pair of these while driving. Problem solved! (with added depth perception)
Seriously though, I'm following with interest. This is something I've considered doing for years .... just never got around to doing it. I'm sure I looked at ways to switch over to the video signal automatically too. It shouldn't be too difficult but a bit of RNS-D surgery might be required I think.
