The 1058 020 027 (FGE) and 1058 020 037 (GXX) transmissions were used in the VW Phaeton and the 1058 020 028 (FGS) transmission was used in the Audi A8. A total of only 993 ‘028’ transmissions were manufactured between April 2000 and July 2002 and only 750 vehicles had been sold by the time Audi discontinued it in 2003. Later D3 models used the 6-speed ZF transmission, the first generation being the 6HP26 and the second generation the 6HP28, so this may be what you’re referring to?
