Surprisingly rapid with the tuning box on. I love the drive of the car, its a little rocket with handling to match. I made the right choice to go with the estate, it suits my needs exactly. The fuel economy is none too special though, which is a frequent complaint of the Merc V6 CDI. It is matching my expectations before I bought the car, therefore is acceptable, as I'm saving about £15-20 per 100miles of driving on fuel alone.
I will admit though, I still miss my old S8, especially the sense of occasion and well being it imparted. You just need to persuade Ranj to stop calling it 'Reffro's S8', its 'Ranj's S8'.
