After I picked the car up in the worst winter we've had down here in a long time, the journey home nearly ended about 3 miles from home when the car slid towards a central island when I was turning left at low speed......
That was on summer tyres mind, but I suspect if it was particularly slippery and the tyres had limited grip, summers or winters, it'll very quickly become disconcerting!
The ABS is particularly hyper when the tyre isn't gripping - to the point it's less than helpful compared to modern setups.
Given up on the Michelin summers?
