How off road are we talking, is it proper off road up to the bonnet in mud or just putting 2 wheels on a verge? Tyres are noisy no matter what your sat in, descent off road tyres are pretty rubbish on road, say 50 mph and then dangerous. Road tyres on and you're very limited off road because they just fill with mud and become slicks. So put a winch on so you can self recover. I've never seen a Q7 with winch fitted. That said a Suzuki SJ410 will go anywhere a RR will and you won't cry when you scrape it.
If you seriously off road anything it'll be beat up quick, every panel will have damage, lights smashed and anything plastic broken. So buy a beat up 4x4 for that or a Unimog.
