I have only used these methods for non-VAG cars as I have VCDS, but when I have worked on other cars never struggled to clear the light without plugging in - although for some it was a right faf
Because we are a main dealer, the only information we have is of that given or provided by the manufacturer. Because the franchises are no longer with us, we need a 3rd party alternative to what they originally gave. The website is great though.
