When Gwen bought me the 8 I had that problem, repaired it by drilling a new hole at the end of the arm.
Lasted two years and when one of the grandkids broke it being impatient I just drilled another hole and it is (touch wood) still good.
But then I am a notoriously tight barsteward and would rather bodge?? than replace. Well I am from the wartime generation.
