I had the opposite issue in my Murple. The monkey who fitted the alarm and remote-start tried getting the transponder out of one key and destroyed it in the process, so then cut up the other key and taped it to the reader coil so the remote-start worked
When I removed the remote-start I was left with an intact key with no transponder, and a chopped up key with transponder so I have zero usable complete keys
I feel a call to Craig the locksmith in my future...
