They do look like could be suitable, have not tried myself so cannot say for sure. Surely they are not 80W as stated as in description it is 900-950mA current which makes them 11-13W, but I think they mean same light output as 80W incandescent bulbs. The big question is how well do they spread light, you might just see some bright spots through the lens. I think they would be much better if they had kind of like milky/frosty sleeve or cap around it to spread the light evenly.

I tried these in clear front indicators, they are comparable brightness when testing in the dark room and provide similar amount of illumination to regular bulbs, but does not work well in car.
