I think the best course of action is the one you're embarking on. Get a later model airbag or wheel and get the magical "tick"!

I believe that you are correct in all respects there Marty. My search for a component that will garner that 'magical tick' continues. I have had replies from Texas offering to ship parts no questions asked, but have so far declined, as I don't want to do the wrong thing by couriers, postal workers, or get myself into hot water over this!
