Clicking could well be a stripped gear in the motor. There are plastic pulleys in the cable mechanism which moves the glass but that tends to make a crunchy noise when they disintegrate and the window moves a bit then gets stuck.
Most D2 parts became obsolete at 15 years old. Almost all the remaining stock went to Audi Tradition so its now very difficult to get hold of any original parts in the UK. |

Not too serious so far
At the risk of talking about my medical problems like an old man, so far they found gastritis, oesophagitis and hiatus hernia, with a dash of pernicious anemia thrown in. I think its the pernicious anemia that's been the main problem, the other things I was probably carrying around for years without knowing.
I hope the window is an easy fix, although I read your other thread about the nightmare of door card removal. Not looking forward to that.
