I like the way a diesel produces power, I like the theory on how it burns, long injection pulses, complete combustion, efficiency and torque. i just don't like the smell (raw, or burnt) of the fuel, the carcinogenic nature of it or the relatively unrefined characteristics. Not sure I could live with it (though the 4.2tdi could convert me) and VAG diesels are seriously on the nose at present.

The SQ5 in the UK is now the 3.0 TFSI petrol too. Very impressive engine, though IMO the new SQ5 is overall not as involving a drive as the BiTDI it replaced.
