I know the pipes on the two D2s they just broke weren't much good, but I don't know if they kept them or not. Maria knows the threshold at which I consider them to be saveable, and they rarely get any in which measure up.
I've measured up pipes from the C5 A6 which is the largest of the smaller-body cars of that era and they're way too short. That's a shame, because they're quite cheap. The smaller body cars have a single pipe going through the engine bay though, rather than the D2's through the wheel arch, although I haven't seen how its done on the C5 V8 yet - I'll have a look at one of those next week.
