I'm convinced that this is the reason my wipers are borked in the first place. My previous fix lasted a month before it snapped the M3 bolt whilst in lane 2 of the A303 on the way back home from Somerset. A 2h 45m journey took me 6h 20m and I think I used pretty much every lay-by before diverting to Salisbury and purchasing some RainX. Managed to get home safely and was entertained for the remainder of my journey by the reverse-Matrix effect of the rain going up the windscreen.
