With the bi-xenons the standard filament bulb also comes on with HID main beam. I've previously upgraded my flash/main beam to a good quality Philips bulb at about a tenner each, which makes quite a difference.

Also worth considering if the light output is getting a bit low from the D2R HIDs that new bulbs are worth doing on age grounds, so long as you are certain of buying a genuine product. It's a minefield of fakes on ebay etc but there's good advice about to make sure what you're buying is genuine.

Don't believe anything on bulb web sites in terms of fitment - they don't seem to list the bi-xenons.
