Default ABS + Stability Lights

Evening Chaps,

Seem to be busy posting here over the last couple of days!

On route home tonight out the blue the ABS and Stability control yellow lights popped up on the dash.

I assume this will be either nothing, loose cable or an ABS sensor dying on me?

My OBD II reader shows and clears nothing on them and not got the laptop handy right now to run VAGCOM.

Could be anything, but a dirty/damaged/failing ABS sensor is the commonest cause of such things on any modern car.

And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

ABS sensor will trigger the rest.. Could be a bearing going that's taken the ABS sensor with it (happened in my PF D3).

similar symptoms on mine was a failing ABS sensor, you might also feel the ABS kick when braking from slow speeds as the fault gets progresively worse, good luck

Just went for a drive and it feels like an ABS sensor, lights off the dash for a while then came back again.

Also kicks in on occasion when putting the brakes on when doing about 1mph, I will file up VAGCOM and see which one it is plus may have a look in case its come loose/ dirty/ cable etc.
