Default German Classics Car Show Report

What a brilliant event.

Haigh Hall is a wonderful venue, the show is well organised, has a great attendance and it's FREE (other organisers take note).

We met up with Steve (Tintin) and Darren at the hangover removal (breakfast) pre-meet meet and were treated to a full english x 2 as the kids gave up after one sausage . We were also served coffee by a barman with the biggest hangover I've seen in a long time. Poor B@stard .

By this point I'd had enough of the kids already so put them in the boot.

We then convoyed to Haigh Hall and parked up in our spot. Kenny was already there as he'd been up since silly o'clock helping to set up the show. Hats off fella .

Ian and David turned up about 11am with the lovely pearl white D2 and Ian's blue D3 A8 and then some random guy with a 56 plate D3 S8 and a newly installed Milltek turned up and joined the party.

No idea who's finger that is .

Then the heavens opened but being British I carried on regardless and took some nice beading pics.

A few more 8 pics

Some of the car highlights:

and we also did a bit of this:

All in all a fantastic day. The kids were kept amused. I got to talk car boŁŁocks and it ended up sunny. Couldn't ask for anymore.

Will be there next year. Can't wait

Great pics. That old Polo was mental. Literally zero ground clearance. Some fine machines on show. Considerably more than 300 cars on show, including 24 Ur quattros, I lost count of the amount of 911s and not forgetting that beautiful late fifties genuine Porsche 356 Speedster.

It was a great turnout, and notably one of the best 8 turnouts in terms of range:

PF S8
FL S8
Final Edition S8
D3 S8
D3 W12
D3 Pre face
D2 2.8

not sure we've ever had all that German muscle in the same place at the same time before

Thanks to Kenny for organising....

Just been speaking to Phil Jameson who organised the show. He has asked me to thank everybody who attended, and for helping to make the show a big success.
