Default Insurance renewal

Hello all just got my renewal on the 8 4.2 tdi £680 full comp with LV
I'm 45 , full n.c.b no convictions .....well apart from the offensive looking girl friend ......keep
That to yourselves ....

What we all paying ?? Any recommended brokers ?

Yeah.... I think I paid something like £390 for this years. Think it is with Swift. That's with full NCD (25 yrs) and protected NCD too.

£265 here before extras (NCD protection and legal cover).

2003 D2 FL S8. Irish Green Pearl/Beige. Solar sunroof, auto-dim mirrors, electric rear seat functions and extended leather. Ski hatch retrofit. Aftermarket reversing camera. DVB-T and XCarlink now removed as redundant.
2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (A much rarer model than a D2 S8 by the way!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

Just left tesco because they auto renewed up to 750 so left them to admiral.

£468.29 Fully Comp under the wifes name as main driver, she has two years ncb and is 40, I'm 42

Just done the 'compare the market 'search thing got it to £430 full comp , a lot better but some of yours sound pretty cheap

Do all the brokers come up on the search engine , Lee that one of yours sounds good Swift eh ?

Not quite though I'm working on (part-time) past the so-called State Retirement Age; but that premium includes full business use for me and SWMBO. We do get a discount for other policies (2nd car and house) with them.

Premium on our Focus is much lower and covers all our (3) children too as a convenience if they visit us. Apparently it's as low as any normal premium can go from the insurer (Direct Line) because we asked if we could reduce it by taking the sprogs off and they explained why it made no difference.

Have a read of this Lee

Takes me about an hour each year to follow that guide, search engines in order and then the few that don't appear individually
