Default Front passenger seat Airbag deactivation

Hi Guys,
Is there a simple way of temporally deactivating the passenger front seat airbag on my 1997 PF QS?
Thanks
David

Pretty sure there isn't a disable switch on the PF.

What's the problem? That's a US-style full-size airbag IIRC designed to cope with an adult not wearing as seat belt!

Presumably you could bypass the seat occupancy switch, but I wouldn't.....

No Problem,
My grand daughter wants to travel in the front seat occasionally. All the write ups suggest deactivating the air bag before allowing an under 12 year old to travel in the front seat. Just checking if there is a easy way to do it, before allowing her to sit there. If there's not, she stays in the back seat until she is 12 years old.

If she's big enough to wear an adult belt without a booster cushion or similar I'd say it's fine. Definitely better than turning it off.
12yo girls can be surprisingly "adult".
