Recoding the Transmission Module
Sure you chaps have already done all this but on Audi Pages under Transmission you can change the behaviour of the D2 shift pattern.
www.audipages.com Mine is a D2 S8 1998 Model and it didn't accept any codes. After analyzing it the S8 transmission has 001XX instead of 000XX. So after coding the transmission module to 00111 instead of 00101 it made a massive difference. Felt a lot more sporty and a lot less 'dumb'.
