Fuel pressure fault code, what do we think? Code inside.
Here's the code that popped up.
Still the same issue when flooring it the glow plug light pops up. What could be the fault here? I don't think my fuel filter has been changed so I've ordered one of those. As I've read it could be that or a fuel leak somewhere? Or a dpf block? I want to remove my dpf and I will be loosing the cats and everything with a remap aswell. But obviously this fault needs to go beforehand. Any ideas? |

Fuel leak or pumps dodgy or injector(s) dodgy or possibly partially blocked filter if your lucky.
http://audiforum.us/threads/004195-f...tdi-bug.16141/ Look for obvious leaks first. Good luck!

If it's a 3.0tdi then it could well be excessive leak back from injectors.

TDI right?
My first step would be to perform a leak off test on the injectors (as suggested above). The fuel rail should have an over pressure relief valve - do a leak off test on the return from this as well as they can start to open which causes the pressure in the fuel rail to drop. Do you know how the fuel pump pressure is regulated? The last diesel I had used a valve to regulate the pressure - these can go faulty. I would monitor the solenoid that controls the valve using a decent diagnostic tool. |

Look on leak off tests on the Internet, regardless of car it'll be the same principle, next would be finding the recommended values, but a deviation of over 10% between injectors would flag a problem.
There is also documented VCDS tests for injector health, I can't remember where it is but its out there. I can't remember the setup for the HP pump, guessing it'll be a FMV on the pump controlling the pressure to the rail.
