Id often thought the 2.7 TT lump would be a nice fit for a sporty D2....
Small enough to leave engine bay free to work round it, and potent enough for some serious tuning. Look at what the B5 RS4's are spitting out, and imagine that in a D2. W12 power and then some, but with none of the weight distribution problems that comes with a giant block... Take it or leave it on the transmission. To be honest, as the power gets north of 400bhp I'd rather have an auto to handle it personally, but I know many view squeezing a third pedal into the rhd footwell as the mother of all desirable upgrades lol

Hi all,fairly new to the site and was reading this thread. I have as I believe an A8 2.8 quattro sport Final edition on 20's in apparently "one off" factory painted Tornado red with beige interior. Sorry to jump the thread but you all seem very clued up on the 8's. Does anyone know of another and that red leather would look awsome in it by the way?
