Could somebody a lot more older and wiser then myself please look at the route from Calais to Erdersee and Rotterdam to Erdersee and work out a point where I could wait for you guys and join the convoy. I would like to join you guys asap as that's going to be part of the experience but I don't want to divert from my route to much. I haven't driven in Europe much and I'm not good at working these sort of things out so if someone could do that for me it would be much appreciated and I will book the ferry soon after. Thank You

What sort of distance are we looking at here? Multimap seems to think it's about 600 miles from Bristol to Edersee. 1200 mile roundtrip- Less than £300 for fuel including "enthusiastic" Autobahn sections. Marvellous...
I'll submit the leave request tomorrow, sounds like a good weekend!  What are the planned leaving/returning dates? Definitely go via Dover as although the Hull overnighter sounds like a good laugh it's a huge detour for me.

IMO the Falkirk to Ostend ferry is the best as its only £50 return for two people and cuts of a nice chunk of French driving from the trip so i'm intrested to know what Tony has planned...

Spoke too soon
 Leave is looking distinctly dodgy so I think it's a no-go for that weekend. Might change in the meantime though if we get a new permanent supervisor (I will be covering...) However herself has agreed that we can have an European jaunt anyway But that she will just "spectate" on the Nurburgring. From the side of the track
