Outside temp reading
Today I have fitted a mfsw and new wiper stalk with dis, after many hours coding ( first day with obdeleven ) I have them working 😁 Now i I would like the temperature display on dash, please can you help ? The car has a sensor because I can get it in live readings but can't code to display it. I have tried google with no luck.

I think there is your answer but I'm afraid it will require VCDS or VAS.

Thanks but i keep coming back to those posts and playing. Im still learning, it took me 2 hours to code the dis. Im sure it can be done as its dsg it came with the nice big screen in the middle. The dis looks better than expected even changing to a large digital speedo like in the a8 😊.
On another positive note i got a refund on my dodgy a8 ebay steering wheel but kept it. Yesterday i stripped it , fitted the mfsw buttons to the A3 ( just had blanks before ) coded them and can now change stations and volume from the wheel 😊 i was proud of that for first days coding 😊. Still looking for a8 wheel with paddles 4 spoke !

I'm afraid you may need vcds to find that hidden channel 20.
And I'm pretty sure ther was no 4 spoke wheel with aluminium paddles from factory unless on FL cars this became a standard.
