You'd be our first swedish car, I'm trying to get some of our other swedish friends on their forum to come as well so you could end up with a convoy!
If youre bringing a Pearl White D2 we might have to try and persuade David at A8 Parts to bring his one along to match!!

If anyone has any problems, please just send me a PM and I'll call the hotel for you. I'm checking bookings this morning, including those for Johannes and Vera

It is a very long trip, so I can understand why no one from Sweden has joined.
I hope to have the opportunity to stay in the UK for up to two weeks, must be so much to see and enjoy. And I will have to visit A8 Parts too. Who knows how many parts I will need to purchase.

It would be awesome if someone else from Sweden or Norway decide to go as well, of course.

Hi Regulus,
It is quite a way but not impossible.
I once took a coach from Wigan (between Liverpool and Manchester), collected a school band from just south of Manchester.
Then drove to Dover. Caught the ferry to Calais.
Drove through France, Belgium and into Germany, stopped for a meal in Bielefeld.
Then drove to the Puttgarden-Rødby ferry.
Finally ended up at Hässleholm.

I have been there one time, in 1992. Had an issue with a transmission on a Lincoln Continental MkIII -70, which they fixed.

There is good news and bad news on the hotel bookings.

Good news:
1. The rooms that are being refurbished will definitely be ready for June, so there are more rooms available
2. The hotel has agreed to extend the room reservations exclusively for the meet attendees for another month (and perhaps a little longer)
3. We have around 40 people and 23 cars registered already, plus the A8 Parts folk who will be travelling from the Huddersfield area

Bad news:
1. There have been additional bookings that aren't on the forum (the joys of organising an event )
2. Even with the extra rooms that will be available, there are only 4 rooms left

As one of the organisers, I'm delighted that we've got so many people registered over 7 months ahead of the event, but if you want to stay at the hub of the meet, hurry up with that booking (and let me know if you need any help with your booking, particularly those coming from abroad or new members who may not know what's on offer).

That all sounds like good news Jim! The more the merrier.

I expect as we've almost filled the place already they're happy to keep it all reserved for us until really quite late on.

Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)

And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!
