I don't know but give it a try.
Another thing you can do is change virtual COM port latency settings in device manager. On my cable it was at 10 ms by default and I occasionally had problems connecting to instrument cluster, resetting service indicator mileage if I change it to 1 or 2 ms it works fine and faster as well.

I've just been messing about with VCDS and I noticed that when I'm going through the adaption channels, the first Chanel has an wheel position of 'invalid', but it lets me save it anyway?
Its after I've saved this invalid value that it says security access required. The road outside my house is slightly sloped, could it be this causing the invalid value and error message? PAul. |
