12v under the bonnet?
Folks,
I'd appreciate if you could assist in pointing me towards a solid 12v supply under the bonnet. As the battery is in the boot, I'm a bit restricted. Working on my 2008 D3, purchased 3 weeks ago. Doing a few wee mods. :-) Thank you. |

From what I have learnt, there is no always on 12V under the bonnet. If you need an always on supply then you'll need to run a wire into the engine bay from one of the main fuseboxes in the front.

Mannyo, thanks for your reply. It's kind of what I determined which unfortunately knocked the mod on the head. Running a 12v supply through the bulkhead was just going to be too much hassle.

You should have permanent +12V by the alternator and by the starter on any car.
