I'm assuming that any of the bright work that's gone milky will not come up ,and have to be swapped ?

Yes, the boot trim and the left rear bumper trim have totally failed - they're down to raw aluminium now and won't come back. Oddly most of the right side comes up really well but the left is still a bit dull so I'll probably remove most of the left stuff and have another go at it off the car. If it won't brighten up then I have plenty spare so I'll just replace it.

First glance I thought you were getting ready for a track day and looking to reduce the drag co-efficient

Have the headlights been polished already?
Is there a trick to get the yellowness out of the lenses inside? |

I replaced them early on with an almost-new pair. The yellowing happens on the inner lens so they would have to be dismantled to get to that which is non-trivial on the FL2 version as they're glued together. Even once you got to the inner lens I'm not sure if anything could be done with it though, as its not available as a spare part. Maybe something I'll investigate in the future.

Surprised that they’ve not popped the grill out as it’s such a quick and easy job

I don't see any advantage in taking it out tbh. The polishing pads will happily work around the contours of where the grille and metalwork meet, and taking it out runs a very high risk of tabs breaking off. With it out, there's a gaping hole with sharp edges so you'd still have to mask it up anyway.

Whats in the Detailing Unit
Before - the centre of the roof is the worst area, which is probably to be expected after wet sanding after machine polishing |
