It's so long since I did it, I'd have to pull my head unit out to check, but I believe it's the GALA wire (see attached PDF).

Thinking about it now, that's the other minor consequence of cutting the wire, you will lose the GALA feature, but to be honest an '8 is so quiet at speed it's not really needed:
