[quote=surveysteve;22436]Looks like I'm going to pass on the wheels I was looking at, they were going pretty cheap on a local VW forum.
I had a look for winter tyres to go with a matching rolling circumference and was not impressed with the lack of choice, with that goes a higher price. Still, plenty of time before the snow arrives.................................... Might want to have a look at these - my old winter wheels and almost new tyres http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2812 |

I had 225 40 18's on my A for a while, say 25k miles speedo as stated was way out but i sat nav so after a while you get to knowing how fast you're relly going. Disadvantage is you colck up more miles than you've actually travelled.
Not had any quatrro issues (as yet) That said i have fitted 245 45 18's for a while now and the comfort level is far better. 40 profile of 225 is way too small pot holes and bumps are a mightmare. Cost me 3 cracked RS4 replicas and top arms took a hammering. Quick off the mark tho. |
