I'm hoping that's fitted and car fully serviced and detailed with a D4 as a loner.

Where is it and how much labour is involved to get to it, brand new aircraft fuel pump for a Cessna are £700

Thats fitted and inc vat, it is the high pressure pump at the rear of the engine, apparently it is 8 hours of labour to fit but think this includes the diagnostics which took 3 hours. Not a common fault i believe. Being in italt it is a little hard to argue if i feel its not a correct diagnostic but does seem fair. Will tell all when fitted. Maybe i am nieve to dealers but they have been good in the past so i do have a level of trust with them.

Well the pump prices are £1300 for the pump or £950 on exchange if you return old pump, so they are charging £1400 for the labour if they are keeping your old pump which seems a bit excessive. I do not know standard labour hours for this job but I would think it should not take more then 4 hours for qualified Audi technician.

EDIT: I was too late with my estimate, so 3hrs diagnostics +8hrs labour=11hrs for £1400 which is not too bad if you are in London(depending on area, Northampton Audi charge just under £80/hr) but I still think it should not take that long.

I am awaiting the return of the service manager on monday, i will try to barter the price down if possible. Unfortunatelly i am not in a position to shop around for quotes with being 1500 mile away and the car not running, i can only rely on thier word.

Had a good result today, the dealer offered to cover 50% of the cost, without me even moaning! Hopefully it will be running tomorrow and there is no other problems to deal with. Very happy though up to now.
