Nice one Guy.
I did it on a party bus conversion we did a few years back. I'll try to find the photos.

Default LED Upgrades

I'm interested in this upgrade if it would be possible to get the group buy going again?

Has anybody had further experience of the upgrade?

I'll ask him and see what he says.

Sorry to resurrect and old thread, but I was wondering if Trups did LEDs for the number plate lights and maybe the reverse lights too.

Ideally, I'd like to replace the whole number plate light fitting, but I may consider just replacing the bulbs.

Looking online, all the Audi fittings I see are different to those fitted on my car. I have a mounting screw on either side and most on eBay have a screw on only one side.

He does the number plate but not the reversing bulbs.

I know this is a D3 thread, but I gave up on numberplate LED's for my D2 after they kept failing.

Given the rear numberplate is yellow anyway incandescent bulbs are fine and the OEM ones seem to last forever.

Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

Thanks for the replies. I don't usually like really white light but I can't help but think the white LED number pate lights look so much nicer than the incandescent bulbs.

I'm now considering these bulbs, as recommended on other threads:

Anyone have any views on them? I'm really interested to hear whether they continued to work properly over time and whether or not they're too bright.
