First bit of confusion! I have the DTV module and can select av1 or av2 from the mmi but where is the plug to connect the Av leads to? I understand it to be a 20 pin plug. Picture attached of my boot in the area I believe it should reside.

you can get to it by loosening of the dvd bolts and lower it out of the way, then you just have enough room to get to it

Hi Guys, I have had a look in my boot where the system sits and cannot see a blue or red connector and I don't have the av1 or av2 option on the screen,
does this mean that my car is just not fitted with the harness? or is it hidden? or shall I just give up. lol.

if you have the tv (even the old analogue one) you should have the connector
the AV1 and 2 can be missing in the menu for early versions of mmi firmware, on some versions you can enable them in the hidden menu

By the looks of things I don't think I've got the TV unit installed that's why I'm thinking have I not got the plug altogether or is it hidden???

So my Fusion BT100 and my cables arrived so I went at lunchtime to fit it - full of anticipation and excitement.

Hit 2 immediate snags - Firstly - I couldn't find a +12v in that little fuse panel that wasn't constant (gave +12v whether ignition on or not). Is this to do with the boot being open or is there another switched 12v I can use in that vicinity?

Secondly - I removed the red connector but how do you 'slide' the cover off? It seems pretty joined to the black bit to me.

I used the 12v in the fuse panel as the car can shut things off as needed.

It has been thus far fine having the unit connected this way.

From memory the red plug slides off once a zip tie is cut. Not 100% sure though.
My memory is quite bad and I've enjoyed 3 glasses of wine with dinner so memory issues are compounded currently.

That's a bit clever! I'll try that. The car is used every day and I guess the bluetooth unit doesn't draw that much current so even if it is constantly powered - my battery should be good. Thanks for the advice.
