Interested to see the results of this, as i want to change mine too.

Having seen the price that a set of the myrtle trim seems to be im thinking this could be a cheaper option to get rid of my cars walnut.

Blue bottom and white roof from the bottom of the windoows up perhaps?! that would be different!

I might get this done for one of the minis!
i will collect my 1972 mini pick up soon..... I would be very tempted to get that rapped! Thoughs on that?!

So if you clean it..... you wont ever get it to shine like a nice waxed paint job? You wouldnt EVER get that gleame from it?

I think an 8 in this white would look awesome. But then thats because i like it.
Just to resurrect an old post, here is a pearl white A8 not convinced it’s worth half what their asking but that’s just me. 95 A8 must have a trade in of 300 quid if you’re lucky.

I'll give him 500 notes for it and take a chance.

"This car is worth double in parts" if you can get free labour to strip it, find somewhere to store the bits for free and hopefully you can sell all the parts from it (one day (if they're anygood))

Best of luck with it

Personally, I wouldn't touch vinyl wrap. The finish is nowhere near as good as an average paint job. It lacks shine.

And as for the paintwork underneath - a buddy of mine back in Boulder, Colorado had his 6-month-old Dodge Neon SR-T wrapped in Candy Blue vinyl. A year later, when it was removed, the Pearl Black paint underneath had gone a sickly grey - most of the lacquer was stuck to the vinyl.

The leading edge of the hood, and front fenders were pretty bad - combination of highway stone chipping, and hot weather. In some spots, the bare metal was showing.

Every car I've had a color change on, it's been done properly - stripped, painted, oven baked and re-assembled.

Here's the RS6 I had done in Pearl WHite. It is actually Grey underneath. I have to say, it looks great in the flesh - just have to be very careful, as stated, edges do tend to frey, especially if the wrap is put on in bits rather than in one sheet.

Looks the part though! Another good thing.... it got scratched on driver's side rear door - a quick trip to Racoon's and good as new. No long paint repair or lasting damage.
