Is there an agenda or timings for Saturday and Sunday please? My S8 might just be back together in time for this, so it'd be a perfect road trip to run in the new engine. I can't commit to a hotel room though, just in case, so I'd need to drive up for the day which is about 3 hours from home. It'd be cool to meet everyone, but not quite the same to turn up in a TT

To be honest though we are A8 orientated we really want to meet you. You will be welcome whatever you turn up in.
It would be nice if your baby is ready in time.

Brilliant, great organisation.

2003 D2 FL S8. Irish Green Pearl/Beige. Solar sunroof, auto-dim mirrors, electric rear seat functions and extended leather. Ski hatch retrofit. Aftermarket reversing camera. DVB-T and XCarlink now removed as redundant.
2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (Even rarer than a D2 S8!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

I didn't think I'd be coming this year (no A8/S8 now since 2011) but just found out that SWMBO has got a long weekend off work that very weekend.

I'm not 100% sure yet, but would you all just ignore me if I turn up in the X5 or Mini, and if not, which should I bring?

Might try an email to Audi HQ to see if they fancy loaning me an S8 for the weekend but won't hold my breath!

If you don't ask, you don't get - and it'd be good to see you in whatever. I did consider coming in the Tesla...

Steve, I would love to see you arrive in the Tesla with your D2 on some kind of suspended tow. But then that might slow you down a tad.

You're very welcome to come along if you'd like to Stephen, as a follow up support vehicle of course! Seriously though you may even be able to book a room in the hotel still as they had a couple of rooms free last time we checked and you're welcome to join in with everything
