Was that on your recent visit to Germany?
Mate I can't imagine how you must be feeling, I was upset all day and still cant get the little scratch out of my mind,it keeps bugging me having it there on what was a truly mint car! Have you had a word with your insurance? I may be pointing out the obvious but If you have NCB and a low excess this may work out better for you. Make sure you get a good bodyshop to take care of her, people here may be able to advise of a good one depending on what areas your prepared to travel to.

My keying mark is on the back boot lid of the car about 20inches long. Was parked out side a tescos metro today and caught a few people looking at it when they got round to the back you could see the disappointment & disgust on their face
Living in London its a miracle I kept it scratch free for so long but I heard the words of a couple of builders a while back who said a car that old had no right being so clean! WTF? So I asked him how old he was & told him stick his other foot in the grave as he had no right to be on this planet; a little extreme I know but he got the message and I was upset then as I am now.

one advantage of living in the sticks I guess.. but then again Rural crime is as bad in some places. I had some little ****es knock both mirrors hard enough to remove the glass from them when it was parked on a street in Morecambe once.. but that is a sh** hole full of special brew drinking wasters in jumped up citroens , so prolly just jealous of a proper car thats not crashed in to halfords to get crap add ons..

I can add my scratch here then, although mine was (and still is) full of road grime. Rear N/S door, pretty much full length from handle to gap between doors. I think mine was a neighbour's kid's scooter handlebar, about a month ago. Again looks down to the metal in places.

I'm wondering where you guys get your touch-up sticks from, as I might have a go at touching it up and polishing out before I spend yet more money on it. Do you get it from Audi (take paint code in) or do you get it matched at a paint shop?

I recommend these guys and this kit. I have bought one and done my bonnet. Just put in your paint code and they will match your paint. If the scratch is less than a 1mm wide this will do the biz with some careful wet sanding followed by proper compound polishing you could well blend it in invisibly.
