Default MMi Need to change the language

Hi I hope someone can help? I have a 2003 (53) A8l 4.2 Quattro which I bought in March, the language and settings in the car keep going back to German each time I stat her up, also if you use the heater controls it say's you are the passenger and visa versa, its almost telling me the car is a left hooker however it was bought from Lancaster Audi in 03.
Can someone point me in the right direction, oh I have done a reset on the MMi system as stated in the handbook.
Cheers
Stevie G

You need a full copy of VAG-COM to sort out the RHD/LHD bit. I think it also lets you change the language.

Where are you? Might be someone close who can help.

Same problem with me, and a few others I have spoken to on various forums. No one has ever seemed to get to the bottom of this. Even taken this to the main dealer and they don't seem to have a clue. This after they charge £120(+vat) an hour to look at it. Did you ever find out what has caused it. Changing the settings on vag com didn't help us. They revert back after parking. I believe it is probably a battery on the MMI circuit board that is worn out and forgets some of the settings. All the audio etc stays in memory but not sure if this is stored on seperate amp memory.
