I thought you might have ripped the wires out of the charger.


When I was having parasitic battery drain issues (which turned out to be the alternator), I was constantly on the charger. I have two 4 amp smart chargers, which are adequate for the job and definitely good enough to start the car and maintain the battery.
I had reason to use my mates 25amp Ctek once during these issues, and it put more charge in the battery and had the car turn over so much faster and start easier. After two years putting up with the parasitic drain (time poor after the birth of my daughter - amazing what you'll tolerate and where your priorities lie!), the extra charge was a revelation!

Been looking for an excuse to buy one ever since!
