Default Suspension Compressor part numbers

So many part numbers out there... how to know what is right?

Dealer says "4E0616005F isn't a valid part number" but I'm looking at it stickered on the original part...

Dealer parts guy says I need only 4E0616007B or D.

I have a 2006 A8 4.2

thanks

I checked in etka, the dealer part numbers are correct D being the latest part number as of 1/11/2011 it is for 6 and 8 cyl models.

There is also same number ending in C and E with E being the newest, they are for diesel, 10 and 12 cylinder cars.

I have no idea what the differences are but at least your armed with the part numbers to make a better choice should you go looking for second hand.

Your original number does not come back in etka so no idea what its meant to be.
