My D3 has lowered itself overnight :(
Today I got in, started her up and as usual the green light indicating that the car is in Dynamic mode came on. I then drove half way down the road and the orange light came on and both the green and orange lights were flashing. I drove around the block and parked back on the driveway. I got out and both the front and back are much lower than before. I tried changing from Dynamic to Comfort and nothing happened. From looking around the forum, am I right in thinking, that the first thing to check would be the 40A fuse?
I'm a bit confused as to the exact location of the 40A fuse? Some other posts are mentioning carpet being removed from near the passenger footwell?

Just an update. I managed to find the fuse and relay. The fuse was not blown. I changed the relay with a new one from TPS. After doing this, nothing changed.
So now am I right in thinking that the compressor has gone?

You might get more info from VCDS, could be compressor, or one of the shocks (or even a broken pipe). But doesn't sound good.
There's a thread about a compressor issue going around on here, might give you some pointers.

Yeah I got one of my friends to run a VCDS scan. It came up with a leak code. I'll get him to email the full scan results, but the compressor is not making any noise. There is a place in Warwick, which is run by an ex Audi master tech. I will speak to him tomorrow about what's going on. Hopefully he will be able to shed some light on what it could be. I'm gonna binge on junk food now out of depression.

If there's a leak, then the compressor will shut down to protect itself from overheating.

Update - Ok I finally managed to get the car back to normal. Just by chance a friend of mine recommended some Audi specialists in Warwick called Vastec. There is a team of ex-Audi master techs who work there. On the day I dropped off the car, they said they would have look it and let me know the outcomes. The outcome was a dead air suspension compressor. I did a little digging around and just ordered this. The compressor arrived next-day from Germany via UPS and I took it to Vastec. Gary, who is one of the master technicians replaced the compressor with the new one. They quoted a total of 4 hours labour for the job. The next morning I got a call saying that everything was done. They did not come up with any "stories" or "we had to do this to get this off", etc, excuses. Everything was straight to the point and handled professionally. The workshop was very clean, tidy and organised. If anyone is looking for an Audi master-tech run independent place, I would highly recommend Vastec. Very pleasant chaps who are genuinely enthusiastic about the work they do.
